Toonel – Reduce Internet Bandwidth Usage and Tarriff

If you are one of those paying a fee based on the amount of data transfer (e.g. 3G/GPRS/DSL/CDMA) and have monthly download limit, or you are using a narrow band connection like a dial up modem, then this is for you. Tonnel is a java based cross platform application that reduces your bandwidth usage so you can finish whatever you are supposed to do online faster, reducing your time spent online and tarrif.

Toonel exploits a tunneling technique combined with data compression, runs compressed data frames from toonel client to one of the toonel servers and then these are forwarded to the target host, reducing the size of resources that are transferred between the server and the client makes more efficient use of the user’s bandwidth. It’s 100% Java based, therefore this service can be used on any platform with an installed Java Runtime Environment, including mobile phones.
